Eva Patrice Dougherty was born at 3:03 pm EST on Tuesday, March 17, 1998 (yes, St. Patrick's Day) at Bryn Mawr Hospital, weighing 5 lbs., 13 oz., and measuring 19 inches in length.

Eva contracted a rare, yet severe, viral enceplalitis in her brain and central nervous system. She spent the month of April in the NIC Unit of CHOP, where she was treated by both Neonatology and Neurology. Eva is presently seen by Dr. Susan P. Magargee of Kids First Haverford. Eva's other health care professionals include:
